Budgeting For Hiring a Rota Nanny

For a rota nanny (typically working patterns like one week on/one week off and being available 24/7 during their on-week), the salary can range as follows:

Entry-Level or Less Experienced Rota Nannies: £30,000 to £40,000 annually.
Mid-Level or Moderately Experienced Rota Nannies: £40,000 to £50,000 annually.
Highly Experienced or Specialized Rota Nannies: £50,000 to £60,000 or even higher annually.

The upper range can increase based on additional qualifications or if the nanny has specialized skills, such as fluency in multiple languages, special needs experience, or other unique qualifications.

Other factors that can affect the salary include:

Duties and Responsibilities: Nannies tasked with more than standard childcare (like tutoring or handling children with special needs) might earn more.

On top of these costs, you should also account for the employer’s NI contributions which are about 10% on top of the gross salary.
