Are you a housekeeper looking for a new role?
We are looking for a Part-time Housekeeper (15 hours per week) in Chelsea (SW3) for a young couple without children, to look after a 3 floor terraced house (approx 1400 square feet). We are looking for someone with extensive experience in private households and someone who enjoys cooking and must be able to independently plan and prepare one or two meals per week, time permitting.
Someone who is proactive and takes initiative to care for the house and finding tasks; Highly organised and able to create/keep a schedule duties to be done daily/weekly/monthly/as needed without prompting; Punctual and able to keep a regular schedule; Strong work ethic; High standards and close attention to detail; Independent worker.
Additionally, the candidate must like cats (the couple has one, she is very friendly) and be comfortable with occasional cat care (feeding, litter box, playtime). The couple travela on some weekends and occasionally for longer trips, so they would like someone who can check in on her and feed her daily when they travel, while keeping up with the regular duties.
Working schedule: 15 hours per week, split between 3 days (Preferably mornings & Friday morning).
Starting date: ASAP;
The duties include:
- General organization and thorough cleaning/tidying of the household and outdoor areas to a high standard
- Someone who can manage the household chores independently
- Kitchen duties – regular cleaning of cooking surfaces, running the dishwasher and hand washing sensitive items, cleaning/descaling appliances
- Laundry/ironing and hand washing delicate items (bonus if able to do some garment care – simple mending or de-pilling of knits)
- Cooking – enjoys cooking and must be able to independently plan and prepare one or two meals per week, time permitting
- Household organization of wardrobes and closets
- Managing laundry pickup and drop off
- Local errands within walking distance (dry cleaning, dropping off packages, light grocery shopping)
- Assisting in packing and unpacking for travel
- Pet care – Caring for the cat when they are away from the house.
The minimum requirements to apply are:
- Previous experience in working for a private family
- Good level of English
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
- Only non-smokers will be considered
- DBS check and excellent references required prior to start
